I have not been hired, or employed by a company since 1995. This is not to say that I haven't worked; I have worked my tail off! I have either been self employed - president of my own corporations, or worked as a private coach/consultant. (I did work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for about 16 months as a stairwell sweeper for 12.5 cents an hour, but I don't think that counts.)
Throughout my entrepreneurial climb I’ve had many successes and failures. My failures in sales and marketing came from the times when I focused on “what” I was selling. My successes came when I focused on “who” I was selling to.
As it turns out, companies and associations don't buy things; people do! That's right - people. People who tick a certain way and have thoughts, feelings and emotions. Here's the good news, I’d been talking and interacting with people my whole life. Now all I had to do was tap into my God given instinct and intuition, and communicate. This made "selling to people" sooooo much easier.
In my Intuitive Salesman Series, I will share some of the invaluable lessons I have learned along my journey of successes and failures.
